To promote national economic and financial success, Bank Indonesia continues to enhance digital acceleration in Indonesia. One of these involves introducing a QR code-based payment system using cross-border linkage. Users can use this QR Code to make payments, and merchants can use it to instantly receive cross-border payments for products and services in various countries.
As a bank that prioritizes technology for each product, PermataBank was chosen to be one of the participating banks for implementing the QR Code Cross-Border. Currently, not all banks have this feature.

The QR Pay cross-border feature enhances PermataMobile X as an application that opens access to customers for cashless transactions abroad. Customers can make payments abroad with the QR Pay PermataMobile X feature at merchant partners using cross-border QRIS. With the opening of the QR Pay cross-border feature on PermataMobile X, this feature can provide convenience and a more comprehensive transaction network for customers.

Currently, the QR Pay cross border on PermataMobile X can be used for payments in:

  • Thailand (merchants with Thai QR PAYMENT standard).
  • Singapore (merchants with NETS QR standard).
  • Malaysia (merchants with DUITNOW QR standard).

PermataBank's participation in implementing the QR Pay Cross-Border feature not only provides benefits for customers but also supports the government in optimizing technological innovation for the national payment system.

The government will eventually extend this feature to QR codes from other nations so that PermataBank customers can take advantage of the ease of international transactions. PermataBank's involvement aligns with the government's call to create a cashless society ecosystem. This participation has also become our tangible manifestation of providing customers with simple, fast, and reliable financial services.
