Update Your 16-Digit NPWP

With the latest Tax Regulation regarding 16-digit Tax Identification Numbers (NPWP), herewith the announcement for both individual and corporate customers.

Individual Customers

Dear Customers,

Thank you for your trust in using the banking services of PT Bank Permata Tbk., licensed and supervised by Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia (hereinafter referred as "PermataBank").

In accordance with the latest Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia about Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP)*, that effective 1 July 2024:

  • Individual taxpayers who are residents are required to use their Population Identification Number (NIK) as their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP).
  • Non-resident taxpayers are required to use their 16 Digits NPWP by adding “0” into their 15 Digits NPWP.

In order to comply with the regulation, therefore:

  • Customers who haven’t updated their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) should promptly update their NPWP independently no longer than 30 June 2024, via:
    • djponline.pajak.go.id,
    • Directorate General of Taxes’s contact center, or
    • Registered Tax Service Office/KPP.
  • After successfully updated, Customers must update their NPWP recorded in PermataBank no longer than 30 June 2024 through:
  • All NPWP data update requirements at PermataBank are subject to PermataBank's prevailing policies.
    • The update mentioned above is including Guarantor’s NPWP (if any)
  • If after 30 June 2024 Customers haven’t updated their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), Bank has the right to update their NPWP (and Guarantor’s NPWP if any) based on the validation result from Directorate General of Taxes.

All risks arise from the NPWP that are not updated by Customers as mentioned above are solely become Customers’ responsibility (including all transactions conducted).

*Referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 112/PMK.03/2022 regarding Taxpayer Identification Numbers for Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers and Government Agency Taxpayers, which was updated on the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 136 Year 2023 about the changes on the PMK Number 112/PMK.03/2022 regarding Taxpayer Identification Numbers for Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers and Government Agency Taxpayers.

In accordance with the latest Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia about Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP)*, that effective 1 July 2024:

  • Individual taxpayers who are residents are required to use their Population Identification Number (NIK) as their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP).
  • Individual non-resident taxpayers, Corporate taxpayers and Government Agency taxpayers are required to use their 16 Digits NPWP by adding “0” into their 15 Digits NPWP.

In order to comply with the regulation, therefore:

  • Clients who haven’t updated their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) should promptly update their NPWP independently no longer than 30 June 2024, via:
    • djponline.pajak.go.id,
    • Directorate General of Taxes’s contact center, or
    • Registered Tax Service Office/KPP.
  • After successfully updated, Clients must update their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) recorded in PermataBank no longer than 30 June 2024 through:
    • The nearest branch office, or
    • Relationship Manager.
  • All NPWP data update requirements at PermataBank are subject to PermataBank's prevailing policies.
  • Branch taxpayers should submit a copy of their Head Office’s NPWP and/or Branch’s Business Identity Number (Nomor Identitas Tempat Kegiatan Usaha/NITKU) when updating their NPWP to PermataBank.
  • NPWP update is also mandatory for the NPWP of the Director, Shareholders, and Guarantors (if any).

If after 30 June 2024 Clients haven’t updated their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), Bank has the right to update their NPWP (and Guarantor’s NPWP if any) based on the validation result from Directorate General of Taxes.

All risks arise from the NPWP that are not updated/clarified and updated by Clients as mentioned above are solely become Clients’ responsibility (including all transactions conducted).
