We want to remind you to always say "NO" to online gambling. While it may seem appealing, the consequences can be very detrimental. Here are some down points you need to know:

  • Financial Loss
Online gambling addicts are often driven to keep topping up their accounts in hopes of winning. However, the reality is that instead of gaining profits, they may lose their entire stake! This can lead to unethical actions to obtain money.
  • Decreased Mental Health
The more losses one experiences, the greater the desire to chase those losses. This can disrupt daily life and financial stability. From this addiction, stress, anxiety, and depression may arise due to continuous losses.
  • Personal Data Theft
Online gambling sites do not take responsibility for the security of their users' data. Your information is highly vulnerable to theft! Many gamblers receive spam messages from unknown numbers because their data is spread across the online world.
  • Legal Consequences*
    • Online Gambling Operators: According to Article 27 paragraph 2 and Article 45 paragraph 2 of the ITE Law, parties who distribute or access online gambling can face a maximum prison sentence of 6 years and/or a fine of up to 1 billion rupiah.
    • Online Gamblers: Article 303 bis of the Criminal Code, the law also threatens gambling players with a maximum prison sentence of 4 years and/or a fine of up to 10 million rupiah.

Let’s work together to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the impacts of online gambling. If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling issues, don’t hesitate to seek help.
